  • Employment Events

Spring Into Work was a brand new programme of friendly, pressure-free employment events launched in April 2019. Open to all residents of south Manchester, Spring into Work offers careers support and information, as well as access to loads of varied current jobs, training opportunities and apprenticeships - which all culminated in a huge Jobs Fair in April.

We know that formal employment events can be daunting and speaking to recruiters can be a challenge for us all; what makes our events different is we will be there to guide you and make you feel welcome, and support you into having a successful experience when talking to potential employers.

The events included our Jobs Fair and Employer Presentations at local community centres throughout April. Read more here.

Fall into Work is a series of employer presentations which will be delivered at our learning hubs. We will be hosting a Jobs Fair on Wednesday 30th October from 10am till 2pm at Burnage Academy, Burnage Lane, Manchester, M19 1ER.

Employment Support for Older Residents is run by one of our Age Friendly Officers - Devon Poyser. Devon has organised some self-employment sessions, with the next one being on 26th July 2019 at Westcroft Community Centre, Westcroft Road, Burnage, M20 6EF. If you are interested in this event, please contact Devon via email at d.poyser@southwayhousing.co.uk or call on 0161 448 4200.
