1 to 1 support
Some people in our homes reach a point where they require intensive support and many have lost the support they have been receiving from other agencies. Southway has a Tenancy Support Team dedicated to providing intensive tenancy related support to help manage complex situations, with a focus on early help and promoting independence. If you could benefit from this professional help, please fill out a contact form.
Early Help Support
Early Help is about engaging in a conversation on how to get back on track. Southway's Tenancy Support Coordinators carry out Early Help Assessments and can take the lead in managing an action plan with families. The assessment asks about all aspects of your life and helps to see past the presenting problem to identify its root cause.
The Coordinators hold review meetings with families and other practitioners and Early Help Assessments are registered with Manchester City Council so that other agencies can see who is working with a family and taking the lead.
Our Tenancy Support Coordinators are trained in delivering 1 to 1 Parenting Support, using the Family Links Nurturing Programme. The programme aims to improve parents' self-esteem, confidence and skills to encourage positive behaviour in their children.
Are you new to the area? Is this your first tenancy? Are you struggling to keep on top of everything you need to do now you have moved in?
