We know from the work that we do that South Manchester is a beautiful place full of people who look after and support their communities and one another. We want to do what we can to help the people trying to do this – which is why we’ve launched The Beautiful South Fund.

We want to help those of you with a community initiative or idea to make South Manchester even more beautiful, and somewhere that people are proud to live.

The theme of the fund is neighbourliness. It is funding of up to £2,500 for any group or individual with an idea focussed around community projects, whether they are big or small, that help improve and bring people together within your neighbourhood.

Some community initiative ideas could include:

  • Improving green space
  • Funding local footy team
  • Coffee mornings
  • Neighbourly meet-ups

Some common themes your initiatives would include:

  • Help your neighbours
  • Caring for the community
  • Community spirit
  • Talking to each other
