The Universal Credit £20 uplift, which was introduced to help people through tough times during the pandemic, is due to end this September.

We know it has made a difference to lots of our tenants when it comes to feeding their families and paying bills. We’ve joined a campaign called #KeepTheLifeline to call on the government to keep it in place.

It’s important to get prepared now for the end of the uplift in September. If you're concerned about this decrease, remember that our advice and income teams can offer you help with your money, from advice on budgeting, banking and loans to employment and training. Head to the Help with your money pages for more information.

And if you are worried this reduction will affect being able to pay your rent, contact us as soon as possible for our support and advice. We'll take your situation into account and work with you.
