Southway tenants get two ‘rent free’ weeks per year, one at Christmas and the other at the beginning of April. If you’re a Direct Debit payer paying weekly, fortnightly or four weekly* this means you receive payment breaks on these weeks where we won’t take your Direct Debit payment.
To get the payment break this Christmas your account needs to have no arrears by Sunday 1st November. If you're unsure, you can check your account and make a payment on your Southway Portal.
Many tenants have a very small amount of arrears, which could be cleared for good by either making a one off payment or paying a small amount towards them each week.
So, check your account, and you too could benefit from a helpful payment break at Christmas and Easter!
*Monthly Direct Debit payers are not affected as their 50 weeks payments are split equally across the 12 months.
