Throughout August, we hosted three Summer Fun Days. The whole community came together to enjoy the Family Fun Days which were jam-packed days of games, activities, and fun for all the family!
The events were held across our community at Plover Terrace Green Space, Old Moat Lane Green Space, and Westcroft Road Green Space. The Fun Days included a number of exciting activities for the kids. There was a bouncy castle, snakes and ladders, badge making and face painting. Play your cards right, proved to be very popular throughout the day and it was fantastic to see everyone joining in!

Our Fun Days are about having fun within the community, spending time together, enjoying ourselves, and letting people know the services we can provide. After a difficult few years, which is not over yet- it is just about spending a nice time together.

We were so pleased to see so many families from our community come along to join in the fun in the sun. Not only was the day a great opportunity to meet the neighbours, but it was also a chance for residents to get to know our staff a bit better too. Members of our Energy, Community Involvement, Neighbourhood Services and Advice Teams were present throughout the day, both to support the event and offer advice.
A big thank you to the Southway staff and volunteers who gave their time and efforts to ensuring the Summer Fun Days ran smoothly and successfully. We are delighted by the success of all three days and are looking forward to future Fun Days!
