The Public Health England report released last Tuesday confirmed the disproportionate impact of Covid-19 on people from ethnic minority groups. In light of this, we have reviewed all of our information going out and will continue to do so. Everybody of every language and ethnicity should be getting all the help and support they need at this time.

  • Covid advice in multiple languages

    Doctors, medical students and volunteers have created these infographics to help summarise key points about COVID-19 in a variety of languages to get the right information, in an easy to understand format, to these communities.

  • South Asian Health Foundation Covid resources

    The SAHF have compiled a list of resources and links offering advice during the Coronavirus Pandemic in South Asian Languages. Topics range from health and education to specific subjects such as Ramadan or diabetes.

    Most are in a helpful video format.

    All of the information on our website is available in multiple languages and can be read aloud in multiple languages.

    Manchester City Council’s hub, set up to support Manchester's most vulnerable residents, offers assistance for those that need it in a range of languages.

  • BAME Covid support services

    This new service has been set up as a result of the limited Covid-19 related emotional support for BAME families in Greater Manchester.

    It offers:

    • Advice, guidance and signpost relating to COVID-19 matters
    • Cross-culture emotional support related to pre- and post Covid-19 issues
    • Tailored psycho-social therapy for women and young girls victims of violence and abuse during COVID-19: Individual and Group therapy available
    • Online training
    • Advice, guidance and support provided in varied languages including Somali, Kurdish, Swahili, Urdu, Arabic, French and more
