This means you should familiarise yourself with the information below, prepare your home, and if you can, try to stay with relatives or friends.

What you should now

  1. Move your possesions upstairs or off the floor as far as is possible
  2. Prepare a bag that includes medicines and insurance documents
  3. If you can, go now to stay with family or friends for the night. This won’t be seen as breaching Covid rules. However you should continue to follow Covid-safe rules, opening windows and keeping a distance.
  4. If you cannot stay with family or friends, move upstairs. You don't need to evacuate immediately.

  1. Make a list of items in case you have to evacuate and pack a flood kit (i.e. medicines, keys, mobile phone, insurance documents, warm clothes).
  2. Move loose items in your garden or weigh them down
  3. Check the location of your utility supplies in case they need to be turned off

What to do if you need to evacuate your property (and you cannot stay with family or friends)

1. Make your way immediately to Wythenshawe Forum which is the evacuation reception site for this area.
