Then book your place now at the Youth Action Day - South Manchester at our offices at Southern Gate on Tuesday 6 October, 11am-2pm.
Here you can connect with local employers and training providers, explore local jobs and courses, develop your skills, receive advice and guidance and gain inspiration to help you achieve your goals.
The Youth Action Day, organised by Southway and Manchester City Council, takes place in our offices at 729 Princess Road, M20 2LT, between 11am and 2pm.
The Time Is Now
Our free 5-week careers course is designed to help you take your next steps in work, training or self-employment.
- Confidence building: boost your self-esteem for the journey ahead
- CVs: create or improve a CV that works
- Job search and applications: tips for finding roles and applying
- Goal setting: make an achievable plan with expert support
- Interview techniques: learn the best ways to get ready and stay calm on the day

Spring And Fall Into Work
Jobs fairs and employer talks. These events are free and open to all residents of South Manchester.
- Access jobs and training opportunities

- Get expert advice from Southway staff before speaking to employers

We understand that formal employment events can feel daunting, and speaking to employers isn't always easy.
What makes this programme different is the personal support we offer. Southway staff will be there to guide you, help you prepare, and give you the confidence to have successful conversations with employers.
