Merseybank Avenue Community Action Day - Friday 16 October 9.30am to 12pm
Southway tenants living in the Merseybank Avenue area are invited to the Merseybank Community Action Day.
The partnership event aims to make the neighbourhood even cleaner, greener and more welcoming. It will bring together Southway staff with Barlow Moor Community Association, contractors supporting through the Social Value Scheme and other partners such as our local councillors, Manchester City Council and Greater Manchester Police.
If you live in the area you can have a clear out and bring your waste to the skip at Barlow Moor Community Association Car Park.
Please come early as the skip will fill up very quickly. If it is full when you arrive you will have to bring your waste home as this will be considered flytipping which is a criminal offence.
Other activities include litter picking and general environmental clean-up.
Residents who need additional support to take part in the event or have accessibility needs can contact:
- Felix Aduloju, Housing Officer, 0161 448 4230 F.aduloju@southwayhousing.co.uk
- Tina Murphy, Community Development Officer, 0161 448 4228 t.murphy@southwayhousing.co.uk
You can also get in touch if you want to volunteer at the event.
