Do you have a disability or a long-term health condition? If so, you can help shape our services for the future by sharing your insights with us and make a real difference for everyone in our communities.

We’re working with the charity, Breakthrough UK, to get a deeper understanding of the needs of our tenants – and staff – who identify as disabled or have long-term health conditions.

This initiative isn’t just another project – it’s a commitment to improving the lives of the people who live in our communities and work with us.

The project includes the following steps:

  • Asking people with a disability or long-term health condition – and family members who live with them – about their experiences of Southway through surveys, steering group meetings, and focus groups.
  • Finding out how Southway can improve its support for disabled people.
  • Working with disabled people to develop ideas on how we can make this better.
  • Writing a report for recommendations for improvement.

Why your experience matters

We value every member of our community, and that includes understanding the unique challenges and perspectives of those with disabilities or long-term health conditions. Your participation in this project will be critical to ensuring that our services and support are truly inclusive and effective.
