Winter may feel like it’s some way off, but this is the best time to check your heating is working properly before the cold weather starts. Then if it doesn’t work you can tell us, and we can help you before you need it.
Test your heating with our easy 3-step guide to make sure everything is ok:
- Turn your thermostat to 30° Centigrade
- Turn up your radiators up to 4 or 5 and leave on for 30 mins
- Check that your boiler has come on and your radiators are warming up
If your heating doesn’t work after this check then please get in touch ASAP.
For owners of gas boilers, if a yellow light comes on next to the flame icon on your control panel, then the gas for the boiler has come on. A number should start to go up and after 30 minutes this should be between 60 and 80. Make sure the green light highlighting the radiator sign is on if you want the radiators to come on.
