We are looking for passionate and committed people who share our vision of building thriving communities in Manchester to join our Parent Board.

As a non-profit, community based housing provider, we welcome and rely on the support and wisdom of people from all backgrounds to help us make a real difference to the lives of people in our neighbourhoods.

Our board members are a big part of that. So if you share our passion for making Manchester a great place to live, and want to play a bigger part in supporting our communities, then join us!

You are welcome to apply for either of our two current vacancies:

1   Parent Board vacancy

Are you working at a senior level in your profession, and have experience of strategy, planning and budgets? You might already be working in or recently retired from housing or any complementary sector such as health, education, employment and skills, carbon reduction – indeed, any industry or profession that has a positive impact on people’s lives.

2   Board EDI Co-optee vacancy

Do you have a passion for and knowledge of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion? If so, you might be just who we are looking for. You would join the Board for an initial 12-month period to scrutinise our approach, identify areas for improvement, and champion Equality, Diversity and Inclusion at Southway for our tenants, staff and wider communities.

If either of these roles sound like something you might be interested in, but you aren’t yet sure whether or not to take the plunge and commit to making a full application, then why not arrange an informal discussion with our Chief Executive, or come along and observe our next Board meeting on Tuesday 28th June? To arrange this email governance@southwayhousing.co.uk.
