Don't panic! Housing benefit changes could affect how your rent statement looks.

Do you owe rent? Or does your rent statement show you owe more than you expected?

Do you get Housing Benefit?

When you were a council tenant, benefit was paid every week; but now you're with Southway it's paid every four weeks. This means your rent statement might show you unexpectedly owing money until the benefit comes in.
