Gerard and Irene's perfect kitchen

Perfect match: the Kays are delighted with their home improvements as they look forward to 62 years together.
Gerard and Irene Kay enjoyed a romantic Valentine's day meal in their newly-refurbished kitchen - part of the complete revamp of their home by our building company partners Bramall Construction.
Mr and Mrs Kay, who have a combined age of 167, have lived in their house at Culbert Drive, East Didsbury since 1971. This year they'll celebrate their sixty second wedding anniversary. They are one of the first Southway households to enjoy the benefits of a full home refurbishment - including a new kitchen and bathroom, full re-wire, and central heating upgrade.
More happy years
To celebrate, Bramall Construction presented the Kays with a bouquet of flowers and a basket of luxury kitchen items. Mrs Kay said: "Our new kitchen is perfect and we are so grateful to Bramall Construction and Southway Housing Trust for all they've done. We look forward to many more happy years here."
Bramall Construction are carrying out more than £24 million of our £107 million home improvement package - including new kitchens, bathrooms, windows and doors for 2,000 homes.
