2008 Garden contest
Summer gardening competition for green-fingered residents
Get growing! Entries close on Monday 30 June
Have you got green-fingers? Why not show off your skills in the 2008 Manchester gardening competition? There are lots of cash prizes on offer, with a top prize of £750. But hurry, entries close on Monday June 30.
Judges are looking for colourful, innovative displays that make good use of space. You’ll get extra points for environmental features like composters, rainwater collectors and wormeries.
Glittering ceremony
There are lots of categories – from best garden overall, to communal garden, tower block garden, young gardener, balcony, and many more!
Judging is from mid-July until the end of August; and all winners are invited to a glittering awards ceremony at Manchester town hall.
