Homefinder: look for a home

Use Homefinder to look for rented homes from Southway, Manchester City Council and other not-for-profit landlords across Manchester.

Homefinder is a 'choice-based letting' system . . . it's about you choosing a home and applying for it yourself, rather than just sitting on a waiting list. Have a look at Homefinder to see what they've got, but you must be registered for rehousing before you can apply for a home.

Getting a home

When you are registered for rehousing, we can look for a home for you. But you should look on Homefinder too (unless you need specialist housing, such as a home adapted for a disabled person - homes like this are not advertised on Homefinder).

We're more likely to offer you something if we give you a high 'rehousing priority' because you're threatened with homelessness, or you're suffering from overcrowding, a relationship breakdown, harassment, a medical condition or another serious situation; or because you have a 'community connection' to a certain area through your parents, work or education for example.

When you register for rehousing you'll be considered for homes run by all the landlords in the 'Manchester Housing Register' (Homefinder website).
