Southway has a range of ways in which customers of any age or background can get involved. There's something for everyone and you can also view all the ways to get involved below, by clicking the blue links.

Armchair Group

This is a group of tenants who respond to up to three Southway surveys a year via email.  Members of this group who reply to all surveys within the year are entered into a prize draw to win £25 worth of shopping vouchers.

Green Space Guardians 
Is there a few neighbours that are interested in your local green space? Are you interested in improving your local green space? Would you like to be consulted about any future improvements to your local green space? If you have answered yes too any of the above a green space guardian is for you. Annual Events
Every year Southway holds at least one Fun & Feedback event, the purpose of which is to bring communities together and provide social activities for our tenants and their families. All tenants are invited to attend; read Southway Stories which is delivered through your door or keep an eye on our Website/Facebook/Twitter to keep up to date with our events!

Medium level

Tenants / Community Groups

Open to anyone who lives in the area the group covers. Some focus on housing, while others get involved in wider community issues - a fantastic way for your community to have a collective voice, arrange social events and build a great community spirit. Southway can provide training and financial support to tenant groups.
Green Inspectors

This is an opportunity to help monitor the quality and appearance of our public green spaces. The role will consist of inspecting local green spaces that are of importance to you that belong to Southway Housing Trust, to ensure that we are maintaining them to the highest possible standard. High level
Southway Board

Board and Committee Members are volunteers. Appointments are skills-based, within a constituency-based membership framework. Our Board and Committees set wider aims and objectives and makes sure our staff meet the standard of service. Read more about them here.

These are challenging, rewarding and satisfying roles requiring time and commitment. Training and support is provided.
Tenant Scrutiny Panel
The Scrutiny Panel takes an in depth look at the way Southway does things to make sure that tenants receive effective and efficient services. A high level of time and commitment is required. Training, support, refreshments and any out of pocket expenses are provided.

Residents’ Consultative Group (RCG)

Help shape Southway’s policies, comment on performance and discuss current issues. The group is made up of tenants, a leaseholder and officers of Southway.  The group meets every six weeks. Click here for more information.
