Southway Housing Trust

A not-for-profit landlord managing and improving over 5,900 homes in South Manchester
Buying your home
Most Southway tenants can buy their home. But you must meet certain conditions - you must have been a tenant for a certain time, and not live in 'specialist' housing such as sheltered accommodation for older people.
If you transferred your tenancy from Manchester City Council in November 2007, you probably have the legal 'right to buy'.
If you became a tenant after 25 November 2007 you could have the legal 'right to acquire' - as long as you had been a tenant with another not-for-profit landlord for several years.
