Suspect a gas leak?

If you think gas is leaking in your home or nearby, phone 0800 111 999 (the National Grid) immediately.

Meanwhile:

  • do not turn any electrical switches or sockets on or off
  • do not smoke or strike matches
  • turn off the gas at the meter
  • open the windows and doors to let the gas out
  • put out any naked flames
  • keep people aware of the affected area
