Young Southway

Our younger tenants are very important to us and to the community.  We want young people to feel valued, confident that their views are listened to and part of everything we do.  Young people are our future!

Our aim is to create homes and neighbourhoods that are family friendly and welcoming to children and teenagers of all ages, and we are keen to hear from anyone who has any ideas on how we can make this a reality.

Young People's Involvement Officer

We now have a Young People's Involvement Officer - Tanya Watts - dedicated to working with young people in the Southway area.  Tanya has lots of youth work experience and aims to work with young people in a way that suits them.

Tanya spends time out in the community talking to young people, and listening to what they have to say about the area in which they live.  One of the overall aims of this post is the establishment of a Young People's Forum or Panel, to allow young people to have a voice and influence decisions.

Recruiting Tanya has been the start of a very exciting new project that is continuing to develop.  So, if you're a young person reading this or you know a young person who might be interested in getting involved, please get in touch.
