Repairs: the appointment system
We are proud of our repairs and maintenance service which is carried out by our own operatives.
The service includes timed appointments as well as emergency call-out services.
You can make an appointment to get most repairs done at a time that's convenient for you.
You can choose appointments for Monday to Friday. There are five appointment slots for each day - from 8am to 6pm.
Early Morning - 8 till 10.30
Late Morning - 10 till 12.30
Early Afternoon - 12 till 2.30
Late Afternoon - 2 till 4
Early Evening - 4 till 6
So there is no need to wait in all day for someone to turn up! To book an appointment visit Order a repair.
When you order a repair we'll offer you an appointment for that job, and give you other times to choose from if necessary.
The first appointment will be within the repair deadlines for that work - so for an urgent repair repair you will be able to pick an appointment for some time within the next five working days.
Please make sure someone is at home at the appointment time.
Always ask for and check identification - all Southway workers carry ID cards with their photos on.
Repairs that do not get an appointment
You can get an appointment for most repairs, except . . .
Emergencies
We don't make appointments for emergency call-outs because they are done so quickly - we just tell you to stay at home and wait for the worker to call.
Major repairs
When you order one of these repairs we won't immediately offer you an appointment.
This is because these are the repairs where your day-to-day life is not adversely affected and/or the work needs specialist manufacture.
But it will be done some time within the next 45 working days. We will contact you when we know the exact date.
