Tenancy agreement

Your tenancy agreement is a legal contract between you and Southway Housing Trust. It describes your rights and responsibilities, and our rights and responsibilities.

The type of agreement you have depends on your circumstances - how long you have been a tenant, and whether or not you transferred from Manchester City Council to Southway in November 2007.

If you transferred from the City Council . . .

If you had an 'Introductory' tenancy agreement with the Council, you transferred to an:

Assured shorthold tenancy agreement (pdf 3505kb)

If you had a 'Secure' tenancy agreement with the Council, you transferred to an:

Assured tenancy agreement with protected rights (pdf 1271kb)

If you did NOT transfer from the City Council . . .

If you have been a tenant for less than 12 months you probably have an:

Assured shorthold tenancy agreement (pdf 3505kb)

If you have been a tenant for more than 12 months you probably have an:

Assured tenancy agreement (pdf 1268kb)
